Hello Friend,
I’m sure that you have heard about Virtual Reality in one way or another, but just in case you have been living under a rock for the past 5 years let me tell you about it.
Virtual Reality is a 3D simulation of a virtual environment that you can interact with just as if you were to do it in the real world!
How amazing is that?
We are living in the future and Virtual Reality is here to stay.
You might be just a web developer looking at Virtual reality as an impossible technology stack that you would never take on.
For the last couple of months, I have been working on a game using the Unity game engine and learning a bunch more about Game Development and Virtual Reality.
Looking at VR and Game Development from the outside might seem like a scary insurmountable technology stack that you would never be able to master.
But after learning Unity and Game Development with my friend Jason, I have to say it’s not that bad.
I was able to schedule a private exclusive never been seen before interview with Jason the founder of Unity3D.college.
I got him to share with us the ins and outs of Virtual Reality.
Here are some of the questions Jason Answered for us:
- What is VR?
- How does Virtual Reality Work?
- Why VR and Why now?
- What do you need to get started with VR?
- Is a VR PC required?
- What are the top hardware devices for VR?
- How big is the opportunity in VR?
- Who should get into VR Development?
- What Game engine should you use for VR?
- What are the common mistakes that new VR developers make?
- Is VR just for Games?
- VR and Real World Applications?
After talking to Jason I’m 100% on the VR camp.
Talk soon,
Rick H.
P.S. Jason has a killer course on VR development, I just finished it a couple of days ago and I’m already seeking for my next VR Project. You can use the code: CODEWITHINTENT at checkout to get a $100 discount.
