Start by going over to the main site for VirtualBox Downloads and selecting the following option VirtualBox 5.0 for Windows hosts
. This starts a download with a file name VirtualBox-5.*.exe
. Double-click the file and follow the setup wizard. This will require your machine to restart. After the machine restarts, configure VirtualBox with the following settings by going to file
and clicking on Preferences
. Next, click on network
, click on Host-only Networks
, and click on edit and disable Enable Server
.
The adapter host-only tab should only be modified if you have subnetworks to other machines. Otherwise, the default settings are fine.
Now VirtualBox is ready to be setup with Ubuntu.
