This is Rick I’m gonna be sharing with you how to connect to a remote machine specifically a Windows machine on the AWS platform from a Windows machine itself so let’s get into it all right so I’m logged in.
Here into this Windows machine what we’re gonna be doing is we’re gonna be logging into another Windows machine that’s located on the AWS platform we’re gonna be doing this with our credentials and we’re gonna be doing this with remote desktop so if you’re in Windows 10 you simply pull up the remote desktop manager free to go to remote into that machine so.
You just go into your Start menu here do RDP remote there we go remote desktop connection so you click on this one here and it’s gonna show you a dialog similar to this one now here’s where you want to go ahead and enter the name of the machine you going to be connecting to so I have the name of the machine here already which is this long name right here Amazon compute one blah that’s the.
Name of the machine so what I’m gonna do now is I’m gonna click connect then it’s gonna go ahead and prompt me for my password now this is the password that you have for your machine so I’m gonna go grab my password and I’m gonna be able to enter the password here I have my password here I’m gonna enter my.
Password and I click remember me if you go to more choices here it shows you can log in with different accounts we’re logging in with an administrator account you can see here that’s the username that we’re using I’m gonna click OK and it’s gonna go ahead and ask me slick hey do you want identify which remote connection this remote cannot be verified.
You can view the certificate here and then you can either install a certificate or you can go ahead and verify with a local key now you don’t have to do this but typically you want to go in and verify that.
Connection is actually being used by the right machine so click OK looks good to me I actually want to go ahead and continue I’m gonna say yes and there it goes it goes out initiates that remote connection logs you in automatically and I’m inside the machine so that’s how easy it is for you to be able to log into a.
Machine from a local machine over to a client machine using Windows and we’re doing on Windows so it’s gonna do it here for my view any questions drop it down below and I’ll talk to you next time.
