Imagine a world that is open for your taking, everyone talks about opportunities, education, and ways to improve your life. But if you take a second and think about this questions. “If you can understand something why shouldn’t another person be able to” What is a file anyways? Wells its something hold and stores data in a certain way then it can the be translated into music, movies, or text files. From a personal perspective since growing up with technologies and seeing sites like limewire.com forstwire.com the list goes of P2P file sharing sites I only see them changing and evolving into different types of ways for people to communicate I will give you a perfect example of github.com even though there is private repositories there is also public that share files among them and not just one but a series of trees that contain hundreds or even thousands. Being a open source advocate I strongly use and share files on the web, from code, to ideas that get stored on some random database. File sharing is everywhere weather you want it or not. Now the question is right to share it with others? I strongly believe it should, we as society are moving more towards a world that runs on open platforms that people share and enjoy more then private companies. I don’t really watch T.V or play video games or hooked on some thing I must download illegally, I like to read and understand the world that is around us and if you know how to do this on the web there is no reason to download anything illegally because everything lives every where you just have to take some time and notice it. TV is dead movies are all dieing industries all of this sectors of entertainment are on life support. Do you really think some one that is flourishing on the curve of successes would be punishing a teenager for downloading some files illegally? I don’t think so, every single company that is in the entertainment knows it well that they are dying to sensations on the World Wide Web and they try to logically make sense by blaming people the pirate there content. Personally more then half of it is garbage you shouldn’t even be watching it, its doing more damage to you then any good to you, I personally hate shows that resolve a problem in under 18minutes that they have on the air, When in real life is a problems NEVER get solved that fast. It really takes a lot of hard concentration and time to really analyze a problem to understand it and solve. This is what the regulators for the new laws of the Internet need to do and understand that people don’t want to be the bad guy but if they are forced to do it, what other choice do they have? Everything that I do I try to think about why and the results of me doing those things. So if I get caught doing something is illegal I will more then likely have a strong hold on why I did and probably fight it with strong points on why I did it.
-The main take away from this short blog entry to is to really start asking better questions and search for better answers!
