Hello Friend,
Just finished speaking at a local meetup here about game development.
I was asked to speak about software development in the context of games.
It was an interesting discussion.
The main topics revolved around.
- Virtual Reality
- Augmented Reality
- IoT
- Big Data
- Mixed Reality
I knew that games were a big portion of what programmers do but I always thought about games as a career path where you go broke.

That belief went right out the window when I heard what kind of budgets and teams are required to create a game of significant size.
If you have gone through my MEAN Stack 2.0 course where I give you the assignment to read the “Masters of Doom” book by David Kushner.
You know exactly what type of opportunity games bring to the table.
The book gives you a good insight of what’s possible with games and software development.
My interest for games has gone through the roof!
I’m now looking for my next project (10-12 month work contract).
Budget is going to be well into the 6-figures and the team to build it is going to be 3-5 individuals.
If you could connect me with anyone that is in the area of higher education that is wanting to create a game, let’s chat about it.
More to come with games and game development.
Talk soon,
Rick H.
