For 2016, you can expect more GREAT content. CWI is going to be used as a mirror for JSecademy for the first couple of seasons, meaning you will be getting a bunch of great content at no cost! For knowrick, there is going to be a big overhaul of the blog and more code to automate more tasks, this could possibly be opened up to a different project depending on the demand for the application. You are also going to start seeing more vlogs about the daily workflows, that I create or decide to implement in my business.
Hello JSecademy
For the past 6 months, I have been working tirelessly on my new project. For three of those months, it was just about thinking what exactly I wanted to do. That’s right thinking!
Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason so few engage in it. ― Henry Ford
I created a small experiment and started to imagine what the future would look like 5-10 years from now. Are we all going to be living in the moon?, what about autonomous vehicles?, how does Internet of things apply to all of this?, how is by career going to look?, and most importantly will I be happy?
After some long thought out nights, it hit me like a bolt of lightning! All of this new innovations are going to have to be programmed? But what language are they going to use? Java? Maybe… Then their it was, the answer JavaScript! Yes JavaScript. The language is going to grow beyond what we currently are using it for, so much that I am willing to bet my entire career on it. This is where the idea for JSecademy was born.
Bring you WorldClass JavaScript Screencasts with an emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
It’s very clear that engineers with an understanding in JavaScript and STEM are going to be needed to create the next generation of greatness.
Let’s make it happen.
Here in the next couple of weeks you will start to see more content and the web application will go live, as of this writing i’m wrapping up the two series and all of the welcome emails.
Hello New You!
Mostly everyone is setting some type of resolution for 2016, if it’s improving your career, traveling more, or just to simply be more healthier. What ever might be the resolution, you will need to stick with it, not just the first week or the first month but for 360 days.
I use to be one of those persons that would create a large list of resolutions that I would like to accomplish. Loose the weight, earn X amount of dollars, pass this three classes and so on. But since late 2014, I found out that I just don’t comply with wishing to do something. Instead I actually have to create an actionable plan and set mile stones to accomplish a new year resolution.
This is Huge! For 2015, I set out to complete some very difficult goals and even though I only completed about 70% of them, here I am new year. Ready to give them another attempt at completing them, because which ever way you see it the time will go by, if you set goals or if you don’t the time will pass. What you choose to do with that time will be what you will see in the years to come.
Even though 2015 was not as successful, as I wish it would of been. I am not discouraged by my failures instead I am encouraged to keep working and improving to get closer and closer to those goals.
What ever might be your resolutions for 2016, I wish you the best luck in completing them.
Bests,
Rick H.
I always had a passion for the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and I knew I wanted to do something to make a difference in the world. I just didn’t know where to start. I was an immigrant in a new country, grew up in a tough environment, and wasn’t sure how… Read More
