Build Cool Things

Hey, Rick, I need to start coming up with a good catchphrase ha let’s see we’re gonna do this don’t just code with intent [Music] doesn’t want to record this real quick here create.

Cool things that’s kind of like the idea that I have here for this video is that whenever you’re creating something created to the best ability that you can at that moment even if it’s like the crappiest thing but at that given time it’s that’s the best thing you can put out that is the best thing you can put out don’t.

Try to perfect something just get it out the door get some feedback and improve even if the thing they’re working on not the best thing right and have a really quick 20 story about it I actually when I was are studying to learn to code I built a tool and the tool that I built was a GED tool so um as you’re coding this tool that I built is essentially a bash script they’ll run java in.

The background and did compile your scripts and then upload the results on the terminal and pretty much who is in a while loop so just running all the time and what it did is it went ahead and told you as.

You wrote code so as its vector file changes on the on the system go ahead and tell you if your tests passed or failed so you can be writing you know.

Java program which was which what the tool is built for originally and as you’re writing your java code it will go ahead and test your code and tell you if you’re passing or if you’re selling obviously it’s not running the test portion step the reason test yourself but again the project didn’t really see anywhere living like this wonderful thing to change the world but I put it up there I you know I tell people about it but I don’t get promoted if you know give it its glory of trying it out and you know I didn’t go.

Anywhere but it was cool and that’s the whole idea here is to build cool things so go out there and build something cool.
